The Kennewick Housing Authority (KHA) operates a variety of rental assistance programs serving families, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

KHA also provides transitional housing, but does not offer cash rental assistance.

Program

Public Housing Program are units and property owned and operated by Kennewick Housing Authority (KHA). KHA administers and is federally funded under its Public Housing Program by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with rental assistance that is ‘attached’ to the unit, meaning, if a tenant vacates the unit, tenant is not able to take the assistance (subsidy) to another rental unit.  KHA has 190 public housing units at two (2) different housing developments in Kennewick, WA.

Housing Choice Voucher Program is also known as the Section 8 Program (Tenant-Based) and is a federally subsidized housing program by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by providing rental assistance (subsidy) to eligible households under a “Voucher”. Nueva Vista I & II

Nueva Vista I & II provides permanent housing units in Kennewick, Washington. The project, will serve individuals and families who earn incomes at or below 30%, 40% and 50% AMI. Some units are designated for homeless families and will have project based Section 8 vouchers and other units are set aside for persons with disabilities.
